What was needed?
The Brief
Our Design Director Richard was approached by Debbie from the school to view a piece of wasteland with a challenging slope. The School has recently been rebuilt after a fire had gutted the site and the outdoor area was in need of some attention. Our designers, alongside Richard, were tasked with transforming the area into a physically challenging space whilst incorporating the slope into the design.
What we did
The Result
Our designers, in collaboration with the school, designed two distinct areas to challenge the physical ability of the children. The gradient was taken out of the top of the space and we incorporated a grass mound tunnel and added in a large bespoke unit. A climbing wall was added to the unit and a puzzle bench after input from the children. Finally the slopes were incorporated to the area by nets and pullies and proved to be a real hit with the children!
