What was needed?
The Brief
Red Monkey was invited to transform an outdoor space for Kingston Park Primary School.
This project prioritised inclusivity with a wheelchair-friendly design, shelters, and seamless outdoor learning access. Climbing features were included, along with designated planting zones, and a discreet amphitheatre. Diverse floor textures to enrich the environment were also to be included ensuring a unique and accessible outdoor experience.
What we did
The Result
Red Monkey successfully implemented sensory flooring, a customised Robinia climbing frame, and innovative outdoor classrooms, optimising the area. An accessible raised planting zone and a sensory path were seamlessly integrated, enhancing the overall design.
The result is a well-rounded, inclusive outdoor space that promotes engagement and sensory experiences.
