Donation of outdoor learning and play equipment.
Press release:
St Peter at Gowts Primary School in Lincoln have recently received the gift of new outdoor learning and play equipment from one of their former pupils, over 40 years after they left the school.
Red Monkey Play Ltd, whose Managing Director Simon Winfield attended the School over 40 years ago, have provided the school with £1000 of equipment following a chance meeting with the school’s Deputy Headteacher, Lucy Wilson.
Simon Winfield, Managing Director of Red Monkey Play said “It is a delight for me and Red Monkey Play to support my old school with outdoor learning and play equipment items that will aid the development of the children, I met with Lucy at a Charity bike ride in London, and when we realised that I had attended the school where she teaches we decided we had to do something to mark the chance meeting. I had a great experience all of those years ago and wanted to provide something to enable the children attending now to have a similar positive experience.”
Lucy Wilson, Deputy Headteacher, St Peter at Gowts Primary School commented “Both me and the school are very excited to have the new play equipment, the children are already using it in their daily learning and are excited to have new products in their play areas.”
Simon went on to say: “We look forward to building our connection with the school and being able to support them in the future. Red Monkey Play are keen to develop working relationships across the UK, our focus around improving the learning environment for children and encouraging them to solve problems is very different and we have evidence that our play and learning areas improve school results and OFSTED inspections.”
